Alright, so last night I went to BossCook's casino, to join an LMS. About half an hour in of talking to people about how they're staying up. I said, "I wish i had someone that would stay up and skyp (Left out the e, otherwise it gets censored and would make me look dirty) with me the whole time" 10 minutes later I receive a notification for asking people for Social Media, and received a 24hr ban.
I still don't see why you can't share things like this, yes I know there are a lot of paedo's and creeps on Habbo, but even if you do add them on Social Networks, you have a chance to confirm or deny their request. So if you see that they're a scary old bloke who will probably have a good time looking at you, then dont confirm! Fact is I never asked anyone for their skype, or any other network I just said the name and still copped a ban.

Habbo aren't stupid, they're going to know that Skyp means Skype and you received a ban as they frown upon it. The way you posed it you were asking those in the room for Skype, it's only 24 hours but with the poor moderation it wouldn't surprise me if you linked to Habbo.it or something similar and received a ban.

When you say you can deny there request by looking like an old bloke. That's invalid.. I'm pretty sure a pedophile wouldn't actually show themself online. They'd use coverup images, etc.. You can't exactly identify a pedophile by how they look.

Alright so i took ya'll advice and took great care when naming which social networks I use. Today in a room someone asked me if I knew someone irl, I said no we just sky a lot. literally less than a minute later I get this:
You have been banned! The reason for the ban is "You have been banned until 17-12-2012 07:53:15. Offering and/or requesting of Social Media contact information is not permitted. Please review the Habbo Way and Terms for acceptable usage.". The ban will expire at 12/17/12 6:53 AM (GMT -0500) Eastern Time.

I'm so mad.
