    Default Apple tv help +rep

Basically i just been round a mates house and he has apple tv, i thought it was absolutely brilliant and would love to have one. However been scouring ebay to see roughly how much and 2nd gen seems to be going for more than 3rd gen? Im completely confused and if anyone could share some more info on the product would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

2nd gen and 3rd are a bit different on ipods right? Well it's the same as for the Tv. It's based on their performance. 3rd gen probably works better than 2nd gen. (More features) I am not a big expert on this but it can give you an idea.

Apple TVs are so restricted in terms of what you can play through them, unless your entire house uses iTunes or Mac heavily, I wouldn't bother personally.

Hate to bump but it's because 2nd gens can be jailbroken and play most media types including AVI, MKV etc. streamed from a computer or NAS as well as the ability to install XMBC and get iPlayer and 4OD, install an internet browser. List goes on. I have a JB Apple TV 2nd gen it's awesome
    That went fast.
