This was a bit disheartening to hear, given the promise of "old habbo" and supposedly bringing back what we loved about the community. Unlocking the room is too much for upper management, really? I don't think the old rooms are ever coming back.. thoughts?

I think Sulake staff are slowly driving a once great community into an early grave. I remember queuing to get into public rooms, and when the most populated rooms were hangouts not casinos. Its quite disheartening and one of the main reasons I rarely log onto habbo anymore. Its not about the community to them anymore, its about money. BRING BACK HELKAT

Powertoo is right though, things have changed since last November and probably for the worst. Hopefully she'll help improve things a bit though, but I'm not fussed about old Public Rooms and I would rather see other features return or something.

Public rooms would be a great place to advertise for habbox though. Oh yeah you get banned for that nowadays, oops...

I understand wanting to make Habbo into a user-generated environment but old public rooms were a Habbo staple for people to hang out in, every bit of what Habbo was and is, is being chipped away bit by bit.

I don't really mind. Most of the public rooms were empty at the time of their removal. They were good to hold fan site parties in, especially Hallway one and to advertise your fan site but now you get banned for even dressing the same in a large group or advertising.
