Default Quizzes & all that jazz

I was just in a quiz thing (shout it out?) and the theme was fruits, I said tomato but for some reason this was deemed invalid which should have lead to me winning. The host redone the round because the other person, rather than answering, questioned if it was a fruit which really should have meant he lost.

Also just in SNQ can we please ban furni motto questions as essentially it's just fastest typer.

lots of snq questions are fastest typer or fastest googler, just going to have to get used to it. there has to be a good mixture of themes.

I've had similar issues, such as 'Name three colours' - Black and white don't count. Leading to stupid answers such as 'How many colours does the flag of germany have?' It's 2, not 3 apparently, just red and gold.

Yeah thinks like that are ridiculous, but I've never been in a quiz where that has happened (although tbh, I don't go to many these days ). But furni motto is fine imo .

i haven't been to the snq for a while but in a couple of other events i've been to there really does need to be a wide variety of themed questions, especially in telephrase's

Furni motto questions are not said in every single SNQ. The times that the host has furni motto questions, there is only 1-2. No harm!

I'm not so bothered about furni mottos since it's just something you know or don't same as any other question. What I do care about is when the accepted answers are wrong. This happened twice in this week's SNQ where the actual correct answer was rejected and incorrect ones were given the prize

K yes even though I was the one who was awarded the point (in regards to above), there does need to be more double-checking of the answers by hosts & not just assuming it's correct. E.g. "First woman on Earth" commonly believed to be eve and that was the answer written down, but it's actually Lillith or whatever apparently.

And yes telephrase themes please vary, I get so many answers based on pretypes due to predictability.

The question was 'in the biblical creation story...' Lillith is not biblical. The answer was Eve.
