    Default Windows Update Error Help

    Hey Guys,

My friend has recently done some Windows updates on his laptop and now it wont let him connect to the internet.

We have tried restarting the computer and doing a system restore but when we try to system restore we just get an error message (0x8000ffff).

It finds the connections but won't connect to them, it won't even try, it just says it can't

Troubleshooting doesn't help, it can't find a solution

The wireless is set to on on the Laptop

I've tried all sorts but can't fix the problem, help is much appreciated, thanks.

Gonna sound stupid but, have you made sure the drivers are actually up to date? I'm not sure what would've caused your network to go down after installing updates, perhaps you should check what the updates were and what they were for?

Updates were for the networks adapters, We just system restored it to a point before the updates at the Laptop just blue screened. It shouldn't do this, it's only 2 weeks old.

    Yeh, I checked
