    Default Weight loss

Right I don't get this. Last week my diet was pretty strict, three meals a day, small portions, no snacks. This week it has been a little more messy but the thing is last week I didn't lose much weight but this week I lost a good bit even though I was eating more stuff like low fat yoghurts and just small things in between when I'm actually hungry (healthy things ofc). Surely that doesn't make sense though, I did the same amount of exercise, this week i eat more but lost more? where's the logic in that.

Your body needs to adjust to the changes you make to it, some people who have a lot of weight to lose (not saying you do, I mean those who are obese etc.) usually don't see a weight change until the week after, it's usually a big one due to their body adjusting. Then it has to find that balance for you to lose it at a normal pace. It may not make sense to you but that is how it usually works .

Not true at all, I lost 11.5lbs in my first week at Slimming World and then only 4lbs in the 2nd week I then went on to lose 8lbs in the third week.

The weeks I eat more and the weeks I have my 'syns' of mikado sticks, tea biscuits and what not (in minimalism mind you), they are the weeks that I lose more too!

Men especially need more calories to keep their bodies running and if you don't then your body goes into starvation mode and tries to keep a hold of everything it has! Thats why if you only eat small portions and do these stupid diets where you are eating next to nothing people get sick. It is unhealthy and will not let you lose a lot of weight.

Keep up the exercise to burn of calories but obviously if you start doing more than you use to do, your body will retain water to repair those muscles if you have been upping it to the point that your body is physically not use to it, that could also be why you didn't lose as much in your last week as as the weight you would have lost from exercise was filled by water retention.

I guess people sometimes lose differently, I think it depends how much you want to lose and whether you're motivated enough. My mum's been going to Slimming World, I think its two years this month and has lost 7 stone approx which she says the groups help too so maybe that can have a positive effect? I can only go on what I've seen but likewise to you its usually the second week whereby you may not lose as much. I'm only basing mine off my mum and television shows sadly.

It is definitely based on how motivated you are! I've lost nearly 10 stone in 9 months purely due to willpower and motivation!

I'm sure Richie has both of those!

I thought it was unhealthy for your body to be losing more than 1-2 pounds a week if you're losing weight steadily and over a long period of time????

Depends on a variety of factors, you should always consult your GP if you want to do more than 1-2 pounds certainly.
