Does it recognise the device when you plug it in on both iTunes and in My Computer/Windows Explorer?

I'm no expert but it seems like a driver issue or something along those lines.

googled it and its a common problem with like newer versions of iTunes apparently. Think it works on other computers.

    You need to reinstall drivers.

Plug it in, open device manager and find the ipod. Right click on it and uninstall the drivers. Unplug it and plug it back in
