    Default Genuine iPhone 4 Unlock

Have just acquired a new iPhone 4 that is locked to Vodafone.

    I need it on o2.

Is there a way to genuinely unlock it without it voiding the warranty?

    Thanks,

    Dave

I believe the "Pwnage" team have unlocked it but I don't think they have released the tool to do it yet. When they do it will still almost certainly void your warranty.

    Hope that helps!

Any type of jailbreak unlock voids warranty. So in relation to your question. No there isnt a way to unlock without voiding warranty.

Though ive never really understood it anyway. If you need to send it back you can just do a fresh install of the official firmware and send it back and they shall never know.
meh, I believe it will be out in the next couple of days.

I thought carrier locking wasn't done any more in the UK? In any case just take it to Vodafone and ask them to unlock it.

I don't believe any rules on that has changed.

Edit: Just realised this is a thread from 2010, facepalm.
