    Default Social Media Ambassadors

"An incredible 21 percent of the global internet population now use Twitter actively on a monthly basis".

Given that statistic alone it surprises me that Habbox isn't using this growth as a basis for the rebuilding of the Habbox(forum) community. I only have to log on to Twitter, check the Habbox feed and notice that there's been only 2 tweets in the month of April so far.

So why aren't you using your Twitter account to its full potential? Finding Habbo users on Twitter and communicating with them, telling them about what Habbox has to offer. You have over 2,000 followers but how are they going to know about anything if you only tweet twice a month? In my eyes, forums need to use social media to evolve and gain users.

Some of you may disagree but I think that Habbox as a whole needs to embrace social media and use it to its full potential.

Why not have social media ambassadors that's job is solely to communicate with Habbo users through means of Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Vine, etc?

I agree with it needing to be pushed more, it was last year for some events so I would expect during Easter it would be used to advertise a lot more.

Not advertise, communicate. People don't want adverts shoved in their face as proven by the last 2 days' fiasco.

Communicate with Habbo users that use Twitter/YouTube/Facebook and talk to them. Naturally they'll be curious as to what Habbox is.

You can do both - if I remember correctly if a manager posts a job opening it will send a tweet informing whoever reads it. Communication is key too though.

I somewhat agree with this, would be nice to see more interaction through the Twitter account .

half of the followers are fake lol, t0m and I gave matt a follower script last year.
but your point still stands really, its true. if habbox puts a tweet button on threads some of the younger habbo people might share the ones they like as well as habbox using theirs

Makes even more sense to communicate with Habbo's on Twitter then.

That's not relevant to this at all ? The Habbox account can still be used to tweet to users who are talking about Habbo, asking questions, etc.

It's a nice idea, and I don't see a reason why not... but I'm sure someone will find a fault somehow
i used to put the names of my favourite singers here... then i realised nobody cared

Trust is a key in giving people access to any social media account. Facebook is okay because you can add people as admins but on twitter you can't. You are limited to one login details and then you can pretty much change the name, email and password within seconds. Which is why we don't have specific people to do the role of tweeting etc.

I don't believe there is any free solutions to this and most of them have some sort of monthly cost? Although an alternative is giving specific managers access to the twitter account. Mainly community related ones. Which I then hope a manager doesn't go crazy and steal the twitter account
