    Default event rep

I know a lot of people feel the same way. The majority of the time when I win an event I choose rep because I don't need furni but I never seem to get my rep.. There has been a few times I have actually checked my rep points (kept an eye on it) and it never changes. Can you guys not create an event account already, make a sub forum in feedback or something, make it private, we post to get our rep and we recieve +rep that way because this is dumb.

At least this way we will actually know when we get rep!

The system in place is fine and does work. The problem is that events management leave it til the end of the month then post them all together. this then takes a bit more time because aside from the really long delay, when it is posted, there's about 50+ people to do and so its natural that the forum management would take it slowly. Your system just seems like a really big faff on when it doesn't need to be when the simplest solution would be for events mgmt to just do it once a week or at the very least once a fortnight.

It would be nice to get a message when u receive it or something because it does feel like you never get it.

It clearly isn't if people keep complaining they don't receive rep. Maybe creating a forum account for rep isn't the best way but we should definitely be able to see when we receive our prize. Keeping an eye on your actual rep points can be hard as others rep you. If we received rep through a forum account it would actually display on the rep page.

The likelihood is that people did receive their rep but have failed to notice as they are unaware of when it's been added so can't notice the difference. For example, you could've been watching your account for 2 weeks and if it wasn't added til the 3rd week, you wouldn't have noticed or could have been added before you started watching and again you wouldn't have noticed. Sending a PM to say 'your rep has been added thanks for taking part blah blah blah' was something that was started by the comps dept while I was manager. It's a very simple thing to do so I see no reason why it can't be brought back. I confess that it ended up slipping off the radar because it is such a simple thing that it's also something forgettable but if we can get it embedded into the routine then it should become second nature.

Having a private subforum would rely on it having to be checked by management to make sure no-one's tryna get sneaky +rep which would involve a lot of hassle and chasing around which isn't really needed so I disagree with that idea.

By all means do it every month. I'd prefer it to display in my actual rep notes so I can actually see it has been added. Get a list of all the people who won events at the start of every month have a thread where people can reply for rep, if they post in it even though they didn't win an event warn them as you would with other forums. Surely it can't be that hard to rep 50 people (you have a list of names) and just skip the people that didn't win an event.

It's a lot easier to post who needs what in a thread and waiting for forum management to post them. Warning people and getting into arguments with people who insist they did win an event even though the EOs involved don't have any records of them doing so (and there's no point pretending, you know as well as I do that some people will do precisely that and some will push it to the point where you just go argh I give up, here, have your rep and go away) is not really a system I would want to be in charge of and I doubt events management would want to go through all that hassle as well when the current system is easy, practical and gets the job done.

Adding everyones rep manually is surely harder than repping a post on the forum. The system isn't practical and it doesn't get the job done as you can see from above posts. The system definitely needs to be improved and any time this is brought up it seems to get ignored or shot down due to pure laziness. If I win a prize I want to know that I have received my prize.
