Default What do you eat when you're sick?

I caught a bug from my brother yesterday and last night I vomited quite a lot (first time in about 3 years) and there was like 5 lots of vomit which were brown because of one oreo I had ate before!

This morning I had some shreddies which I ended up throwing up about 1 hour after

So today I haven't ate anything, is there anything that I can eat without being sick?

I had lucozade earlier and I feel a little better already

    thx

    Get well soon!

When I'm really sick I usually try avoiding food altogether before my mum intervenes and tries to get me to eat. I like having soup when I'm ill.

I don't eat anything until a day or two after, then when I feel hungry I just go for a dry piece of toast.

    Soup. Must. Eat. Soup.
Try to stay away from bananas though, not sure why, but it upsets me when I eat them.

NO. All of you are WRONG. Soup is a hideous thing to eat when you're feeling ill unless you have a sore throat!! If you have an upset stomach it's horrible because it just all sloshes round in your tummy and makes you feel even more BLEURGH.

Eat marmite toast! Mix it with butter because then it's not as strong. You'll probably need to mix it with quite a lot of butter to make it go a kind of caramel-y colour. When I say "mix" I mean put butter on the side of a plate, put a bit of marmite in it and then mix. Add more of whatever you think it needs. Don't just put butter on the toast and then marmite on top. Where do people get this idea from :S This is a hideous way to eat marmite??

Sorry for turning this into a marmite rant. I have strong opinions on the subject.

I've always been taught by my mum to leave it until you've gone a good few hours without vomiting, and start with a slice of dry toast, then perhaps go up to crackers. Always worked for me

Normal food. I only eat differently if it's tonsillitis, in which case I jus eat stuff that isn't too hard to swallow and drink milk.

Dry toast really? I have never heard of that before
I always thought soup was a good option.
