It's not "of the norm", but I think everyone is entitled to whatever they so please. I would definitely look twice if I saw a male in tights in the street, but it's entirely their decision aha

Tbh if I saw someone wearing tights I would think they are probably a little weird? But it wouldn't put me off someone at all I just don't think it's the norm really but weird people are a good thing

I think naturally you'll get weird looks as tights have been made into womens clothes
But to be honest, I couldn't really care less what they wore!! If they didn't match their outfit, obviously I'll be like lolwhat, but it's their choice and who am I to say what they can or can't wear
