Yes. It's finally the time I go crazy over Gintama. And you lucky folks get a thread about this amazing second movie.

For those who don't know what Gintama is, Gintama is an comedy-tragedy-romance-supernatural anime and manga series. (although the anime has been cancelled, again. It's going to be back next year due to the amazing sales Forever Be Yorozuya scored!)

But I'm not going to review the anime Gintama here. This is strictly for Forever Be Yorozuya, so if you want to know more about the anime/manga, have this link.

So now for the plot and a little review (not revealing too much at the moment) of the fabulous movie; {WARNING, You may get confused about the plot/summary if you haven't watched the anime or read the manga, so I suggest you check that out first!}

While watching a movie, Gintoki comes upon a "movie thief." a figure in Japanese culture often depicted as a man with a video camera as a head. After scolding the movie thief for his actions, he finds himself warped into another world via the camera lens. In this world, 5 years have passed, and not only has the land of Edo changed into an apocalyptic wasteland, but Kagura has changed into a beautiful woman with no Chinese speech pattern, Shinpachi Shimura has turned into a cool samurai who is not a tsukkomi anymore, and the Gintoki of this time has gone missing, though he is assumed to be dead. Gintoki is determined to find out the truth of the deadly sickness that is ravaging Edo, and also to understand the feelings of Kagura and Shinpachi, who have been trying to deal with their leader's disappearance. Gintoki must face a group of sorcerers known as Enmi (厭魅?) and across his journey Gintoki is also set to encounter his past self from the war, the White Demon, as an enemy.

My rating; I've only just seen this (due to Japanese DVD releases etc.) but I haven't seen in English subs yet. But the movie was amazing! Honestly, the tears, the comedy, the action....IT BEING GINTAMA AND EVERYTHING ABOUT IT WAS PERFECT. Really, I recommend the Gintama series and the movies! While I furiously wait for the English subtitles, I'll leave the trailer for the second movie in this thread. Don't miss out on Gintama!
