Back to the Daley grind: Tom shows off his impressive six pack as he returns to the water for some diving training of his own at Olympic aquatic centre

He has been seen at swimming pools on numerous occasions over the last few weeks, helping out the various contestants on Splash! rather than doing his own training.

But on Wednesday Tom Daley ditched the drama of the small screen to concentrate on his own diving at the Olympic aquatic centre.

The 19-year-old, who took home a bronze medal in the 10 metre platform event at London 2012, didn’t just show off his moves though… his impressive torso also couldn’t be missed.

Tom, who recently revealed he is in a relationship with a man, was seen texting as he left the pool with his fur-lined coat perched on his head – creating a rather amusing image alongside his bare body.

Taking to Twitter to talk about his session, he said: ‘Loving training in the London aquatic centre!!! It's so cool ’

He also asked his loyal fans: ‘So guys...I'm presenting an award at the NTA's and I need your help...what song should I walk out to?!?!’

Speaking during the session the handsome diver admitted his relocation to London has kick-started his desire to do well at the Rio Olympics in 2016, after making the decision to leave his hometown of Plymouth to boost his chances of achieving even more in three years time.

The move came with complications, the biggest of which was the need to find a new coach, which Tom has done by linking up with former University of Houston diving coach Jane Figueiredo.

With the facilities of the Olympic aquatic centre and the new partnership with Figueiredo, Daley believes improvements in his performance will follow quickly.

He told the Press Association Sport: ‘Moving to London for me, this amazing facility is the number one reason, it is a great place to be. The dry dive area is the biggest in the UK and is fitted out amazingly well and my new coach Jane is absolutely fantastic and I'm excited about working with her.

‘The beginning of the year, just before the competition season was the perfect time to move. I'm not too busy yet and it is going to ramp in the next couple of months but right now i think it is a time i can change things up and keep them fresh.

‘It was a massive move, I had to leave my old coach Andy and I had to find the right facility and the right set-up and I have found that.

Speaking of the Olympic Park where he has moved to, it'll be interesting to see what place looks like when it's finished. I personally can't see it looking all that good in a decade or so as with most modern developments, and tbh the proposed flats and housing that I have seen look really Sovietesque and bland. That's without mentioning that dreadful tower they built that looks like a collapsed rollercoaster.

You know my thoughts The amount of care I feel over this person is non-existent. Also, hasn't he got the wrong sort of body for diving now? He seems to have too much muscle in his chest, arms, thighs and shoulders which do not help with impact creating a larger splash. When you look at the Chinese divers, they're petit, thin and not particularly muscular around the top. I can't see him doing well at Rio at all, unless he slims himself down.
