Meet Nico Lee - a singer/song writer from Australia

Singer/songwriter Nico Lee started writing and performing music at the age of fourteen, almost as soon as she picked up a guitar and decided to learn to play it. The next six years were spent practicing chords between classes and scribbling lyrics in text books, and a weekly sessions of coaching in vocals and guitar led to the refinery and evolution of her musical style. The thrill of entertaining became a familiar feeling for Nico as she took any opportunity offered to showcase her growing set list - school performances, graduation, charity events, and even just busking around the Newcastle area in her spare time.

Following the end of High School, however, music took a backseat to working and earning, and Nico spent more of 2012 working the local music scene as security than pursuing it as an entertainer. The experience never left a lot of spare time for playing or booking gigs, but left Nico with an album's worth of material to consider.

2013 saw a turn in Nico's career path following her entry and subsequent win in the inaugural year of the 'Lake Rock’ battle of the bands competition. The experience served as a reminder that music was a passion well worth pursuing, and Nico kicked it into high gear. The competition prize offered the vital first step into tackling the profession - a recording session with Suntone Studios and the promise of radio play, and thus the 'Architect' EP found it's way into creation and onto the airwaves in January of 2014.
