Default Virgin Media Phone Support RAGE

Trying to get my broadband fixed and Virgin are making everything more awkward than it has to be. Requesting for a engineer to come and look at it and there like oh nonono.. we can't do that.. we have to try every single solution over the phone.

Never felt so much rage in my life having to deal with overseas customer support folk.

My friend was (I think still is actually) with virgin and it took them about a month to fix her broadband. Can't remember what exactly her problem was, but they certainly managed to piss off all of her family. I feel sorry for you

Without trying to sound racist - the overseas folk don't have a clue what they are doing, you have the odd one that knows. Any dealings I've had with British customer support have been great, no problems.

Because all of their callcentre staff barely understand a word of English.

They can't even work their own system.

If you are still having problems then it might be best for you to post on their online forum: http://community.virginmedia.com/

The staff are UK based by the looks of it and if they see that you need an engineer out then they will get one booked for you. I've always posted any trouble on the forum rather than phoning up them to get a better response

Ask to be put through to the team that deal with cancelling the line, they are a UK based phone support, and they will soon sort the problem out.

The forums are also very good, booked an engineer through there a few times in the past when needed.

i like how the robot woman thing goes through all the restarting your modem etc etc and then you get through to the "other side" and the first thing they tell you to do is unplug your modem
