    Default BluRay Player unable to play discs

    This may sound wierd but my BluRay player wont let me play BluRay discs. It will play normal DVD's fine and its quite annoying because I bought 2 blurays which I was going to watch tonight and when I tried it, it wouldn't work. Luckily, we had one of the two on normal DVD. Any help will be great, thanks.

    What happened?

    Have you updated it to the latest firmware? BluRays are a lot more advanced and thus complicated than DVDs, technically.

    I really have no idea of how to do that. I tried to last night by burning the .zip file onto a disc of the latest software, and I tried to play it but it wouldn't read it... @Recursion;

    You didn't buy them from a different region did you? I.e. region A and you're in region B or whatever it is.

    Has it been able to play Blu-Rays in the past? If so then it might just be old or as people have said the lasers are broke, try taking it to a repair shop or call Samsung - if you still have the box the number will be in one of the booklets.
