    Default Posting Away (Habbox Roles)

Just a quick one... Opinions, please?

Do you think Habbox should start a rule for how much you can post away in a month? I know 3 weeks is almost a month. People in Habbox Roles, of course. There's 4 weeks in a month though? Should it be less or more?

But it shouldn't be allowed if you post 3 + 3 weeks meaning 6? If you really have to leave, then resign? I'm saying why waste someones time?

I thought it was 3 weeks for 2 months And I'm sure if you posted away for three weeks every two months your manager would have something to say about it..

In a way we already have these rules in place. We allow all staff members to post away for anything up to three weeks without having to get permission. If you are going to be away for much longer than that then, we tell you to contact General Management and we will either grant/deny the extra leave - We do this on a case by case basis.

We won't be increasing or decreasing the three week rule that's for sure. Now some people do like to bend the rules a bit and maybe class it as a "loop hole" where they abuse it. But a lot of the time these people get spotted and we try and deal with them quickly. We could possibly tweak it slightly to minimise this even more. But if you or anyone else feels that a staff member is simply abusing the "Away" rule then feel free to send a Private Message (PM) to the Department Manager(s) or General Management and we'll look into it for sure.

People posting away has been a problem for a long long time and is really just an excuse for complacency. Genuine reasons for being away are loss of electricity, family deaths, and going away on holiday, but "having work to do" is a reason to leave the position, not to hold up the entire department while you're clearly still visiting the forum and being on the client for hours on end.

Yeah, I never post away if I'm active online. Which is ALOT lol, 3 hours a week in most roles? Isn't much at all! They should experience real life work lol!

What about holidays and stuff like that?

I think 3 weeks is fine, what I find annoying is staff being 'away' for 3 weeks, but not meeting their minimum either side of that barrier and then being posted away again - I believe it's happened 2/3 times whilst I've been AGM that I've noticed and people do get dismissed for it.

However, I do agree with reasonings, loss of Internet, holidays, family stuff (funerals, weddings, etc.) but I remember people posting away for all sorts before, like getting more furni on Habbo, cba, it isn't on.

It's still volunteering, let's not try to lose some perspective.
The rules clearly state that if you're active at Habbox during your away time, you're classed as being able to do your job. Managers have the power to tackle abusers, if they fail to use it that's their own problem.

1 Week isn't a good idea when a lot of people tend to go on holidays for like 2 weeks

3 weeks is fine. Abusers have been dealt with in the mod department in the past so it's never been a major issue there.
