Default How far ahead have you planned in your life?

I know people who don't like to plan anything, and to just take life as it comes. Personally, I'm a planner.

Do you know where you want to be in the next 1, 5, 10 years? And are you actively moving towards those goals, ie for a career perhaps?

Are you the sort of person who has an idea of their career, where they'll live, how they'll pay for it (an idea of your income for the next few years), whether or not you want to get married, have children, travel and so on?

Or is choosing your next subjects at school as far as you're willing to think ahead?

I'm just curious because I've pretty much planned out the next 5 years with @Kardan; obviously with flexibility in things like holidays, and other fun thing. But for all the serious, real-life stuff, I like to think I've got an idea of how it's going to be.

    What about everyone else?

I haven't planned anything because I don't know what I want to be when I'm older. Probably go to college and then idk. Hopefully I will pick something to do this year but I doubt it... :/

OHH DIDN'T READ ALL UR POST...

    STUFF I WANT OKAY...

I'm not sure if I want to get married because I can't pick any clothes and I'm poor and no one wll marry me but I would like to lol.

Also, I don't know about kids either. I will probs adopt one but if I have enough money then surrogate mother.

I barely plan what I'm going to do the next week let alone in 5 years. I guess I have broad ideas of whre I'd like to be within certain timeframes like short-term finishing essay by x deadline and long term having a job by y time but nothing too meticulous.

I like to plan the soon future, I have in my mind what I want over longer term but don't really 'plan' it.

Like I have a general guideline of where I want to be at specific times, but no specific target to be if you get what I mean. Planning stuff like job etc is unpredictable as might lose it, not get as much as you want etc :p

As time comes closer will be more planned out (like year ahead kinda thing).

ive never really saw myself in the future lmao
honestly am hoping for an average life. don't have expectations for a big career, don't know if ill go for future study. i wouldn't mind allowing my hubby to get most the money and me working part time plus taking care of the house and any kids.
honestly i think just gonna go with the flow and take any opportunity i can, i think i can be happy with average. i just wanna live comfortably and relatively care free.
have planned to move away from this town next year though n see where life takes me

same as kyle, broad ideas, no timetable. I do my best to get closer to my goals everyday but not getting too stressed about it if it doesn't work out the way I'd planned it in meticulous detail.

it's strange you ask this actually because some guy started talking to me in college today (i've never seen or spoke to him before) and he was asking about what i plan to do in the future and i honestly didn't know what to say. i only plan so far ahead and he was telling me that i should have a life goal or career to work towards as it motivates you and pushes you forward. he was quite a nice guy actually and just that small conversation made me feel so much more motivated and made me realise that i need to get my finger out and discover what i want in life. i know i want to go to university and work in film & media but i'm not too sure what direction yet. hopefully i'll know soon enough though as i have a few ideas

i'm starting to think that maybe this guy isn't even real and it's all in my head

maybe i'm just trying to let myself know that it's now or never with coll
