    Red face Forum filter

    Hey,

I think it's really irritating you get a warning/infraction or any form of message from moderation about "avoiding the filter" when I would have to avoid it to be guilty of it?

if I say sh..it i'm avoiding the filter.
If say a word that isn't in the filter, like cocksmear or ****face then it's unfair I'm getting infracted for avoiding the filter when it's not in the filter. Maybe you should create a new warning like "being obscene" instead of looking like a true idiot? semantics matter, to me anyway.

Just my nugget of pure wisdom.

They could warn you over rule A2 - Do not post inappropriately, but to warn you over rule A3 - Do not avoid the forum filter is just wrong

yeah it's idiocy in my opinion. they just look really stupid, whilst they're getting hard over forum permissions etc. totally ruined my visit, and they went and banned me from spam.

I'm going to lobby the European parliament over this.

well it is avoiding the filter cos u are saying filtered words thru a loop hole lol

but yh first time u get caught out with it its not intentional so u should get a warning i guess and if u continue (looks at u) then u get infracted easy peasy

If you check your inbox again, the infraction you received was "Inappropriate Language/Avoiding the Filter". If you wish to protest that you were not avoiding the filter, you were still posting Inappropriate Langauage. You were PM'd about this so you should have stopped but you proceeded to continue to the point of infraction.

c.unt is filtered and to add a word onto the end of this to get around the filter is avoiding, in my opinion It is inappropriate regardless.

    say

    **** face
    then it's filtered

To be fair it's no one's fault if they rely on their inept filter. Arguably it's difficult to know every known variation of obscene words but it's hardly my fault if it's not in there?

It isn't avoiding the filter, I'd have to demonstrate avoidance with dots or colons etc?
