their music is but their 'movement' or whatever you call it isn't

No, no they cannot. Especially if they have the likes of Justin Bieber and similar current artists in their playlists.

Their legacy is quite clearly much better than their actual music but I've never heard anyone claim that The Beatles are gods or saviours of the world so I wouldn't say they're overrated

I think Beatles is pretty good, a day in the life is a very good song in my opinion.
