My struggle through the HabboTiles maze

Hey, for those who don't check the site here's the article I just wrote about the nightmare of a maze habbotiles have made:

Blood, sweat, tears and anguish. The four words I would pick out to describe my experience through this nightmare of a maze.

If you asked me to pick the hardest part of it, I honestly wouldn't be able to choose; the actual game itself, the people who decide to rush and stunt progress, the amount of times I DIED IN THE PENULTIMATE ROOM or just the fact I spent 1 and a half hours of my life doing it. The concept of the maze itself is very simple, just make it across each "chasm" by walking across a moving Petal Patch and avoiding the floor - sounds simple right?

... it's not.

The Petal Patches move incredibly fast and from levels 5 to 7 you can't "save" yourself if you fall down and have to restart the entire maze over again. Plus the fact that a lot of new players just rush across as fast as possible without attempting to hold the patches (it is possible at each end) which makes it very hard to not get tripped yourself. Oh and I didn't even mention the roller maze at the end which causes your room to drag about every bloody time you move!

However, in spite of these struggles you can actually learn to enjoy the maze a bit. After starting the maze other with many other people you start to build friendships with them quickly; I myself have befriended the users bend0vaaa (cheeky), Herridge, Herald22, ShortyAbba, Cobalts and more! And once you start meeting the players who will hold the patches for you even if you're a few levels behind, you know you've met some awesome Habbos.

In fact, I liked these users so much I decided to grab a few opinions from them about the maze. Here's what they said:

"Hard as hell. Although it's nice when people work together and you make friends y'know." ~ ShortyAbba
"A yet again boring, unoriginal maze that lacked thought." ~ Mk,
"The maze is fun, but very challenging due to no exit option being available after level 5 which sucks... but still fun!" ~ Cobalts.
"Retried the maze about 25 times with people who also failed attempting to get the same crap badge that I was after." ~ Herridge

As for my own opinion of the maze itself? I do agree a lot more creativity could have been put into it and it was indeed quite repetitive, however there's no denying it's certainly incredibly challenging and has made me more friends in a day than I have in the past month! So there's definitely a lot more room for improvement from HabboTiles, but nevertheless I would still congratulate them on the difficulty of it. Oh and a massive kudos to them for the badge, it's pretty well designed in my opinion.

Yeah they seem to enjoy moving the tele around, the second time i did it they moved the tele in room 7 so u cud just walk through and i am enraged cause i failed in room 7 so many times

I tried it twice but it's so boring that I cba trying it again. I know fansite weekends can be hard to think of stuff especially when Habbo can be a bit delayed to tell you about it but this maze, someone seriously made the decision to make a maze (hardly original) then make a maze with the same room over and over again.

That said, the teamwork thing can be true. Not always as there were a few people in first attempt who just grabbed it for themselves but the 2nd time I tried the whole way through was teamwork.
