EDIT: I might be wrong. Seems they may be making 3 wizard films similar to Harry Potter, but involving the Potter Cast.

Old news that this is being done - being based on the book about beasts from Harry Potter.

They are based 50 years before Harry or something (maybe even 70?)

Quite predictable really given the popularity of the Harry Potter series and universe. I'll most likely go to see them.

Well the trilogy bit is news, should be interesting. i am one of those people that want more details on the wizarding world but it does need to have a good story behind it as well and a part of me thinks that rowling could've said any plot and warner bros would've been THAT IS MARVELLOUS IDEA, REALLY GREAT, LETS DO IT regardless of whether it actually was

The trilogy bit isn't new, the fact it may extend BEYOND the planned trilogy is indeed new.
