    Default Pakistan School Massacre

    Taliban murders more than 100

At least 126 people, mostly children, have been killed in a Taliban assault on an army-run school in the Pakistani city of Peshawar, officials say.
Five or six militants wearing security uniforms entered the school, officials said. Gunfire and explosions were heard as security forces surrounded the area.
The army says most of the school's 500 students have been evacuated. It is not clear how many are being held hostage.

Many of the casualties were reportedly caused by a suicide blast. At least 80 of the dead are said to be children.
The attack started at 10:00 local time (05:00 GMT). Mudassir Awan, a worker at the school, said he saw six people scaling the walls of the school.

Absolutely sickening attack on people merely trying to get an education - something that is so key to development. RIP.

Typical of the Taliban. Killing those wanting an education all because those people do not want to grow up and be as uneducated as them.

According to Peshawar Police the siege is over now. The most disgusting thing is that TTB says they attacked the children because their parents "helped USA" referring to the army presence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

That is so bad! Who would even have it in them to do such acts!

Horrific, very sad what has happened to these countrys as well as their religion since post-independence with the rise of Islamism. Especially when you see the pictures of the school girls in Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran during the 1950s without 15th century clothing on, they look like they could fit in in a western school.

RIP. Reminds me, the targeting of schools/educated, of what the Khmer Rogue used to do in Cambodia.
