What Technology did you expect would be available now that isn't?

So as the thread says, what did you expect would be available? We are now in 2015 and technology has progressed well in my view, but I was just wondering what you guys thought. Have we progressed well technology wise?

While we have batteries, I thought by now we'd have a lot more progress in better battery life as you keep reading about new ideas and new discoveries each year and then nothing really much comes of it. As phones are getting more powerful and having as much crammed into them as possible phone batteries need to catch up. Although I can imagine when they do make progress the phones will just become even more power hungry thus needing even better batteries.

I'm also quite surprised it's took this long for augmented reality to start appearing

lmao we're at the stage of:

so I never expected hoverboards just yet. I'm actually a bit surprised we're close to driverless cars.
