Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Reboot?

So I am pretty late to the party or blissfully unaware of the news that Lionsgate are rebooting Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as a movie with a new story. I always hate when things are rebooted anyways, like I really am not sure about TNMT's reboot at all, I don't like the way they look now.

I grew up with this generation of Power Rangers, I loved this series so much as a kid as did my cousins, we all had the action figures. I remember we had every Ranger, Black, Pink, Blue, Yellow, Red and both of Tommy's colours, Green and White, aswell as Pink and Green in the smaller sizes which had flip heads. We also had alot of the first Zords, my favourite was always Dragonzord even now, plus we had various other merchandise, which we often played with.

I remember we even had the Green With Evil on video and we would watch this often when not watching a new episode. My favourite was the Pink Ranger but I literally loved all of the original Power Rangers, the newer ones after Mighty Morphin never interested me like the original series did, although alot of the same characters were still around, Tommy and Billy for example. I have so much nostalgia, Power Rangers was a bigger part of my life than even Pokemon ever was. So for me, an idea of a reboot doesn't thrill me at all. One other thing that we had, was the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Sega Mega Drive game, which was alot of fun back in the day.

Obviously things will never be the same as the previous series, but I will give this a watch when it's released with the hope that I could be pleasantly surprised. I hope they find a successful group of teenagers with attitude, just like they did in the very first series, and I also hope that there's some role for a couple of the original Power Rangers to make some kind of appearance. Although I am hearing rumours of Jason David Frank who portrayed Tommy aka Green and White Ranger in their respective series. Also hearing that Amy-Jo Johnson may be involved who was Kimberley, aka Pink Ranger.

Reboot is expected for 22nd July 2016.
Please, Lionsgate don't screw this up!

I've never seen Power Rangers, but reboots tend to turn out absolutely awful and sucked of any originality that the show once presented, so hopefully it's not happening.

oooo. I loved power rangers! I literally had so much power rangers merc & went to see them in concert too and got tommy's autograph on my reflector card from it heheh.
