Default Do you do any of these?

I have been getting statistics sent to me via Email every week and this one caught me by surprise, but I have to admit that I can definitely understand where this is coming from.
So below is a chart of the drug-related deaths in England & Wales.

This chart is backed by Statista .
    If you are wondering what Cannabis is;

Industrial hemp products are made from Cannabis plants selected to produce an abundance of fiber. To satisfy the UN Narcotics Convention, some Cannabis strains have been bred to produce minimal levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the principal psychoactive constituent responsible for the high associated with it and which is obtained through the dried flowers of Cannabis plants selectively bred to produce high levels of THC and other psychoactive cannabinoids. Various extracts including hashish and hash oil are also produced from the plant.
What I'd like to know is why we focus so much on the negative when it comes to illegal drugs, as opposed to the negatives on legal drugs. Now, before I begin; Tobacco companies are now obligated to put equal amount of money in advertising the cons of smoking as they do in promoting smoking. (At least from what it is in Canada).

What are your thoughts on this chart? Do you think this depicts the real killer in drug usage?

Do you do any of the drugs above? By looking at this chart, is there a potential in either quitting one of the drugs, or maybe taking up on the drug?

    It's not surprising.

The top 3 are legal, obviously it's going to have more users than the rest. People smoke and drink a lot more than they do cocaine, etc.

I don't take any, don't like any and subsequently have no interest in stopping any (and definitely not taking up any)

Exactly so the figures are pretty misleading to be honest. People normally start taking cannabis and then move onto harder, more damaging drugs like cocaine when they aren't getting the buzz from the cannabis. Cannabis may not cause that many deaths but it definitely does have a major impact on your mental health if it's smoked over a prolonged period of time. So although it may not cause deaths it certainly does mess with peoples health a lot more than any of these kind of statistics show.

How do you die from cannabis? I thought it was seen as one of the safest drugs.

Apart from having the odd drink, I too do none of them. I used to smoke now and then socially but realised it's a stupid habit so I don't do that anymore either.

Always gotta be that one idiot that takes one too many marijuanas and dies

I'm sure all drugs can affect mental health or cause cancer or hat we when taken in high dosages or over prolonged periods. I have take all drugs on that info graphic aside from cocaine and heroine and would do so again should the desire and opportunity arise again. Gna die either way and don't like the idea of restricting my enjoyment and experience because of fear that doesn't even apply to me.

Yeah, not that I agree with the stats.. but I kind of do.. and yeah- I would honestly hate to be that one person to actually die from marijuana.. I'm not entirely sure how you could.. You'd just get stoned out of your mind, and then... But being stone just peaks, so you can never get more stoned than stoned.

Unless I am wrong on that part. Someone with more knowledge on it can enlighten me on it.

And to add; I'm surprised that Prescription Pain killers is actually that low to be honest... Codeine is one of the biggest pain killers people end up being addicted on, and there are a lot of people who are actually addicted to it and end up overdosing on that..

gotta remember that you know what you're getting with alcohol, tobacco and prescription drugs

heroin and so many other illegal drugs are cut to pieces.. batches are stronger than other batches, addicts relapsing and taking mega doses of unknown purity or mixing depressants with depressants. Pharmaceutical grade heroin is pretty safe(obvs minus the addiction)

anyway I've always thought it was obvious that tobacco and alcohol were the worst drugs which is what I find annoying about most people who are anti-drug who then go out on a saturday night to get pissed

Meaningless statistics without knowing how many people used it in the time period covered. Anyway, I have had/tried 4 on the list.
