You could do both on hillgiants
You cna hide behind rocks for mage and hit them with melee.
They drop big bones which are good aswell.

    1. Fastest way in f2p is to bury bigbones. The quickest way to get bigbones is to kill hill giants where you need brass key to enter.
If you got money then you can buy bigbones 300gp ea in varrock world 1 west bank.
2.Fastest way to train magic on f2p now is high alchemy however you need to find something to alch, if you only got like 33 magic you can do tele grab on zammy wines and sell these wines 1k ea. they are only easy to sell on runescape forums under herblore if you got 500 +.
Best place to train str att and def is killing lvl 22 skeletons in kamaja next to the green dragons. these are fast killing and each skeleton gives alot of exp. Eg killing 2 skeletons is more exp than 1 lesser.
These skeletons are in the same caves as hillgiants too and in malzar maze.

I personally think for easy prayer exp go to a busy f2p world and pick up all the bones people leave and bury them, its possible to get 43 prayer in a day that way and its free =)
