Default what do you wish schools teach?

nowadays there are alot of people saying tht our education system is ****** up, etc that we're learning nothing useful blah blah like yeah at least i can find the area of a triangle

what would you rather schools teach instead?

i actually want to pick up like technical skills ie coding and working with computers, would be of some use since we're living in a day and age revolving around technology. ik there are like courses for this in uni or sth but i think having at least a simple foundation would be good for us

I'd rather schools taught about nutrition, not from a science perspective but in a way that enables students to understand what they need to eat to stay fit and healthy and WHY. I also think P.E. lessons should be similar to a typical session at the gym and include yoga, pilates and boxing.
I know a few people who were top of their classes at school but struggled when they left because school doesn't prepare kids for life afterwards. In the same way some people describe themselves as 'streetwise', I think schools should focus on making kids 'lifewise'.

Critical thinking and lifeskills that translate properly: nutrition as mentioned, basic personal finance, etc.

lifeskills would definitely be something so useful

also, where i come from they don't do subjects like psychology, IT, etc and it'd be so handy if they had because a lot of the time i feel like i'm at a disadvantage in uni because they just go "oh you would have learnt this in psychology in school so i won't dwell too much". but i'm like WHAT no please focus a bit more so i can get a better understanding, so i'll be sat there clueless for rest of lecture hopefully once i get into 2nd year it'll stop

Lifeskills is definitely something that needs to be taught. Some of my friends are really smart when it comes to subjects in school, but simple tasks outside of school they struggle with. One of my friends didn't even know how to make themselves a cup of tea

I also think that basic coding and programming should be given as a option, especially as there are so many IT based jobs available.

I really really wish schools would teach the constitutional system of the United Kingdom which would include a strong emphasis of the importance of English liberties, common law, the sovereignty of parliament and so on. If you had an educated populace on what their ancient rights were, then people would be a lot more weary of an all powerful state and you'd have less dodgy laws being passed such as 90 days detention without trial, internet snooping without any charges and so on and so forth. In other words, a clued up population can't then be fooled into surrendering forever their birthrights and that of generations after them.

Americans are taught the value of their constitution: we should be taught the value of the Magna Carta, Bill of Rights, Acts of Settlement, Acts of Union etc.
