Default Wtf is the point of registering an account here in the forum?

Like seriously, I wouldn't use this account for anything else aside from reading threads. Because it limits me from reading anything and it forces me to register.

moderator alert Thread moved by Samanfa (Forum Moderator): From 'Habbo News & Rumours' as it is better suited here.

is that not the point? If you want to read the threads that the community are discussing you have to become a part of the community...

If you want to read threads, then surely it's not going harm to join the community. Most threads are there to help people and if they help you then the least you can do is sign up.

You make it sound like we don't allow you to view any thread without you registering? We allow a limit which you will find on most Habbo fansites, but thanks for taking the time to join ours forum and bring your amazing contributions!

Lol when was this limit introduced? I figured it was just spam and pappy that were restricted. Most forums have very strict thread limits why do we need them?

I am am with this fella, if people just like to browse the forum without posting (and many Sulake staff are included in this) then don't force them to register. Habbox had a reputation o being the go-to site for discussion on big changes in habbo - not everybody wants to talk in those discussions but they might still have liked to read them. Remove this thing at once!

If you're unhappy then don't browse habbox at all??

Ok you're really pathetic; threads are the whole point of a forum in the first place LOL. If you're unhappy you can check out habbcrazy and habboquests who have 1 post every hour.

And hffm and thishabbo etc restricts their forum to ZERO browsing. Habbox still allows some before the prompt. Stop barking up the wrong tree.

Yeah they're still allowed to just that after a few threads they get prompted to sign up.

1/2 months ago I think iirc, I was speaking to @Immenseman; and he told me he couldn't lurk on here anymore LMFAO.

I noticed Matt installed the plugin for it a few months ago, I don't remember there being any discussion about it at the time.

How many threads is it and is there any real reason at all for putting it in place other than because others do it? I also wonder whether there are any signup statistics to compare to see whether it's working? My guess would be that it isn't - Just look at the viewcount on habbo news threads compared to what they have been previously.

Lurkers contribute to popularity just as much (if not more, in the rand scheme of things [word of mouth is a powerful tool]) as registered users do so to restrict them is a rather silly move IMO!
