Old Habbo Screenies <around 2005/6/7>

Hey all!,

I've been searching in my old computer and found some screenshots from old Habbo, and wow... so many memories. It looks like Habbo is a complete different game now. Hope you enjoy them. They are from Habbo UK around 2005.

1. Painting the Walls

Back when you have limited options to paint the walls and floor of your room, mostly only HC members would have access to them because you needed around 5-6creds to do this.

2. Throne Pyramid

One of my favourite rooms, it was an accomplishment to know where exactly to click to jump another throne level and beat others into getting to the top.

3. My Dogs

My two dogs back in the days. Today the room is filled with 2 dogs (same from the picture, Toby and Max), a Cat, an Alligator and a Polar Bear. A true zoo inside a hotel

4. HC Club Gifts

What can I say? I would spend my days counting and crossing of calendars to see which day I would get a new present for being HC.

5. The Big Hand

So you all new players do not know the real pain it was to browse through that hand to find the furni you are looking for, further more when you had a shop with a line of 10 people waiting their turn to trade with you. That one time I bought over 80 holy garlands (you can see in the picture hanging in the walls), you can understand my pain in browsing my hand haha. And not to mention the :chooser, a HC add-on to know who was in your room to easy select and kick ^^ Also notice the HabboxForum tab

Also, you can see a "clone" in the room. That was another habbo I had. Habbix2, he was old from 2001 and always used it to pop up my room popularity and appear into the trading section.

6. CREDITS!

Those 5 seconds that passed processing the code you enter for your credits were the longest ever! (now I feel those 5 seconds when sliding my credit card buying groceries not knowing if it has sufficient funds hahaha). And the smile you had when that message popped and you saw your purse full of credits to spend on the weekly rares!

7. Name Thiefs!

That one time my shop was so popular that someone copied my shop name and I reported haha. It was so popular because I paid 5 persons a 2 credit normal furni to advertise my room in other trade and shop rooms, until they stole my name and as you can see, it was empty. Also in this picture you can see someone sitting in the lodge corner, back when the beautiful art of stacking using rollers was an ability that should be considered to be put in your C.V

8. Furni Shop

And before I could afford any credits, I created an empire from just a 1 credit item I got for free somewhere. I would then go and trade it for something better, then that furni trade it for something better, and so on until I had enough furnis to open my own shop, then keep trading until I had enough to open my own rare furni shop and then trade enough until I could afford to have other rooms. The struggle was real!

9. Glitches

Many of us came across glitches caused by bugs, Habbo errors or people using scripts and programs to cause bugs inside the game.

10. Imperials and Cameras

I remember that Imperials were so cool you could actually trade single imperials that were non-functional. And what to say about cameras?! I have a room (still do) filled with photos taken of my Habbo (.MiniDan.) and Habbo Staff. Sadly you can not see them anymore

11. Casino


Almost every habbo dream was to have a Casino, I usually did not take any bets because did not liked to lose, but sold many rights to my casino. It was all fun and happiness until you log in and saw that someone trashed your room






12. Rares

So I would wake up, run into my computer and the first thing I did was listen to the beautiful sound of private messages from your yellow console and open the catalogue to see if a new rare was released to be purchased for 25c.

13. Habbo Lido

Going into line to have a turn at this jumping!, you could dance in the air and make a majestic fall. People around the pool could rate you with numbers and nice symbols.

14. Habbo Poll Winner

You will never know my excitement when I realised I was the winner of a Habbo poll, I was awarded not 1, not 2, but 3 throne sofas!

15. Super Rares

Trading super rares, sweating because you did not know if next week that super rare would be released into the catalogue as a normal rare and its price would drop down drastically, making you lose all those trading hours gaining profit!. I can not remember if I did that trade

Fantastic screenshots, I miss those days

Those were the great days. I miss the simplicity of trading back then and the ability to go from a single piece of furni to an empire through trading. Maybe it's because I haven't played in so long, but the catalog these days is just far too expansive for me to be able to effectively run a shop and "trade up".

I really do miss how simple the furni was during those days... I loved going into a room with some lodge furni, petal patches, and HC sofas.

Now that is a hit of nostalgia! I remember waiting for the next month of HC on Habbo AU at the beginning.
