    JPEG - Joint Photographic Experts Group, the original name of the committee that wrote the standard.
    GIF - Graphics Interchange Format
    PDF - Portable Document Format
    BITMAP - The .bmp file format (sometimes also saved as .dib -device independent bitmap)

    Vector is a font. I gathered. And it wasn't for hwk. I was having trouble uploading images and found .gif more efficient.
