    Default Series of sexual assaults in German city of Cologne by.... (you guessed it!)

    German women report string of sexual assaults by 'Arab and North African men'

    Mayor of Cologne to investigate "outrageous" series of New Year's Eve attacks on women by large gangs of men “of Arab or North African appearance”

    Police in Germany are investigating an alarming series of sexual assaults on women trying to celebrate the New Year by large groups of single men “of Arab or North African appearance”. Authorities in the city of Cologne are to hold a crisis meeting on Tuesday after police described a group of some 1,000 men who took over the area around the main station on New Year’s Eve.

    Women were robbed, groped, and had their underwear torn from their bodies, while couples had fireworks thrown at them. Police have received 90 criminal complaints, around a quarter of them for sexual assault, including one case of rape. Police in Hamburg say there was a series of similar incidents in the city’s Reeperbahn red-light area. Witnesses described groups of five to 15 men of who “hunted” women in the streets.

    In Cologne, the attacks took place around the main station, opposite the cathedral, a traditional gathering spot to see in the New Year.

    A 27-year-old witness named only as Anne told Spiegel magazine’s website she was shocked by the crowds when she arrived at the station with her boyfriend. “The whole place was full and almost only with men,” she said. “Only a few frightened women, who were being stared at.” A short time later, she said, she “felt the first hand on my behind”. The men began firing fireworks directly into the crowd.

    “I saw people jump and run, because a rocket had been fired at their legs,” she said. “Shortly after midnight, the first women came to us,” an unnamed police officer told the local Express newspaper. “Crying and in shock they described how they had been severely sexually harrassed. We went to look for women in the crowd. I picked one up from the ground. She was screaming and crying. Her underwear had been torn from her body.
    Although those behind the incidents have not been identified, they have been widely linked with the large influx of asylum-seekers to Germany.
    One MP from Angela Merkel’s party called for the numbers of refugees in the country to be reduced in the light of the attacks. “It can’t go on like this,” Steffen Bilger wrote on Twitter. “Urgently needed: reduction of influx, secure borders, intensifying of deportations and meaningful justice. #Cologne.”

    There were allegations of a police “cover-up” on social media after it took five days for the scale of the incidents to emerge, with some claiming the authorities wanted to hide the ethnicity of the perpetrators to avoid social tensions. An unidentified male witness told WDR television he and his girlfriend had been surrounded in Cologne by “drunk and aggressive” men who threatened them and groped her.

    “They weren’t of European appearance,” he said. “The crimes were committed by a group of people who from appearance were largely from the North African or Arab world,” Wolfgang Albers, the Cologne police chief, told a press conference. “It is intolerable that such offences are committed in the heart of the city,” he said. In Hamburg, witnesses described groups of young men who followed women calling out “****! Ficky ficky!”

    Henriette Reker, the mayor of Cologne, has called an emergency meeting of the city authorities on Tuesday to address the incidents. “We cannot tolerate a legal vacuum here,” Ms Reker said, describing the attacks as “outrageous”. The state government of North Rhine-Westphalia, where Cologne lies, vowed to take action. “We will not take gangs of North African men humiliating defenceless women with brazen sexual attacks,” Ralf Jäger, the state’s interior minister, said.
    Well well well. Looks like everything I predicted back in the summer has - shock horror like the Paris terror attacks - come true. Again.

    Refugees welcome indeed you suicidal idiots.

    No comments from all those calling me mean and racist a few months back over the refugees and islamic rape gangs.

    Embarrassed that I was so right?

    The mayor of Cologne, Henriette Reker, issued a condescending “code of conduct” for women to follow if they want to avoid being attacked.
    Unbelievable. It makes my blood BOIL.

    Next western women will be advised to wear burkas to please our lovely new guests.

    If you look at the actual reports it wasn't refugees, and it wasn't a bunch of randoms acting like the BARBARIANS that everyone non-white obviously are. It was targeted gang action from settled citizens that was orchestrated meticulously as a mass mugging. Obviously still not something that you want to happen and I absolutely condemn those involved, but it's not got anything to do with the recent refugee crisis

    @FlyingJesus;

    As far as I know Police are still looking for the suspects and investigating so I have no idea how you can rule refugees out yet.

    In any case even if they were legal it's yet another example of islamic rape gangs like we've already seen in Rotherham and Rochdale.

    Opps look like i'm already on the way to being proved correct once again. @FlyingJesus;

    Leaked police report claims senior police officers feared fatalities and that one of those involved in attacks told officers: “I am Syrian. You have to treat me kindly. Mrs Merkel invited me"

    Ministers have said there is no evidence asylum seekers were involved in the violence.

    But the leaked police report, published in Bild newspaper and Spiegel, a news magazine, claims that one of those involved told officers: “I am Syrian. You have to treat me kindly. Mrs Merkel invited me.”

    Another tore up his residence permit before the eyes of police, and told them: “You can’t do anything to me, I can get a new one tomorrow.”

    A local newspaper reported that fifteen asylum-seekers from Syria and Afghanistan were briefly held by police on New Year's Eve in connection with the sex attacks but were released.

    The Express newspaper quoted an unnamed police officer who said his squad had detained several people who had "only been in Germany for a few weeks".

    "Of these people, 14 were from Syria and one was from Afghanistan. That's the truth. Although it hurts," he said.

    The newspaper quoted a second police officer as confirming the 15 who were held had "residence permits for the asylum procedure". Officers took down their names, and they are in the police records, he said.

    If confirmed, the report will add new weight to claims of a police cover-up. The Cologne authorities have claimed they have no evidence whether asylum-seekers were involved.

    It is not clear why the suspects were released but police officers have said they were overwhelmed on the night.

    Police say they have identified 16 suspects from video recordings of the incidents. It is not known if the group includes any who were detained on New Year's Eve.
    Anyone want anymore predictions given they're all turning out right? Alright here's one...

    In 2016 my bet is there will be a series of terror attacks across European countries from the lovely refugees we've let in/are letting in.

    You heard it here first. On the record. Anyone want to call me a racist now so I can gloat in a few weeks or months time? @The Don; @abc; @AgnesIO;

    When did I call you racist for opposing this recent wave of immigration? In fact, you gave me rep for (as far as i'm aware) my only comment on this.

    Stop playing the victim card every time someone disagrees with you, it makes you look pathetic.

    Now are you going to apologise for making false claims?

    The fact that they had residence permits shows that they aren't newcomers to Germany, but regardless it was still an orchestrated event as shown by the sheer numbers involved and similarities between all of the attacks, so clearly not just a bunch of random asylum seekers going primitive on people

    Yes it is, see the new thread I have posted about attacks in Finland.

    By the way it is now confirmed they were newcomers to Germany.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...-with-you.html

    Police have identified 31 suspects, of whom 18 are asylum seekers, the German interior ministry said.
    Anymore excuses?
