Alright team, what do you think is the best sort of first date. Do we try to impress and go for a full on nice fancy meal, chill, maybe a few drinks, or something cutesy like a walk in the park.
Anyway lads what sort of first date have you found to work well and maybe not work so well? Ladies what sort of first date have you found to be impressive and perhaps a date to be average or even too much?

People say the cinema for a first date isn't the best because you can't talk or get to know each other, however, with my current boyfriend that's exactly where we went for our first date. Instead of just going to the cinema though, we made a day of it so it gave us the chance to talk and get to know each other too. Firstly, we had been talking for 3 years and I knew he liked me, but I was with someone else at the time, then we had a year where we didn't speak due to other things, but we still saw each other at work and communication came back and we got in touch outside of work again, we had decided that if we ever got together our first sober kiss would be on these steps in Thornes Park and it was, that cemented the first part of the date for us and after that everything was just perfect. We went to the cinema, and although we couldn't talk we got to hold hands for 2 hours (I later found out his arm was cramping/in pain throughout that, but he just wanted to keep it there as it felt perfect), after that we went shopping, we had a bite to eat and overall it was a perfect first date that had a lot of stuff in!

The other first dates I've been on has basically consisted of either shopping and some food, or bowling and food and although it was fun the company wasn't that great overall!

The bowling and food one basically just rushed me to do everything like he didn't even want to be there. It set the mood for the rest of the relationship as he was the same throughout it, we only lasted 2 months.

I think a nice meal and a few drinks is completely fine although if they had a hobbie or an interest in something id probably do something based on that. For example, if they loved art then id take them to a place based on art

Depends what kind of person they are, or you are.
For example, my gf never really likes getting dressed up and going out so our first date was a day at the movies, lunch at a cafe, walk along a beach and talking.
