Tony Blair calls for people to 'rise up' against Brexit

Former British Prime Minister's call invokes strong reaction among pundits, politicians and social media

He urged "a way out from the present rush over the cliff's edge".

Former Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith said the comments were arrogant and undemocratic but Lib Dem Nick Clegg said he "agreed with every word".

I took up Boris Johnson's advice a long time ago. I cannot bear to hear him.

That said, if there's anyone to rally the Great British public behind Brexit it is this guy.

    Thoughts?

Ignoring all of this and more of a general comment on Blair, a while ago there was a rumour that he was going to get back into UK politics. I genuinely believe he could actually get elected again if he tried. I don't particularly like Blair, but he's very good at spin and it's something I want to see him try.

Please Lord no, what have the people of this country done to deserve that?

First time in a long time that I agree with Boris Johnson.

Blair should be tried for War Crimes. He seems to quickly forget how much the British people despise him.
