The story of how I met and eventually went out with my boyfriend is pretty long, but I think it's cute and funny so here goes!

We met when I started working at the same place as him in October 2012, he liked me from the day he met me and I had no idea. I started going out with someone else from work, and a few months later found out this other guy liked me, obviously nothing would happen because I was with someone else and I wouldn't cheat on anyone. I was good friends with the guy who liked me, we were very close and used to talk a lot. Eventually, me and my boyfriend broke up as he thought the other guy was trying to worm his way in (he wasn't). When we were broken up, the guy who liked me kissed me, nothing else happened until another night out he kissed me (he asked me out at some point, but controlling ex etc. didn't really go to plan and I felt pressured into saying no), but eventually I got back with my boyfriend (he was very controlling, he made it seem like I didn't have a choice), so that was that.

In December 2014, this guy drunks texts me (the texts were ineligible) so I told my boyfriend and told him not to say anything or worry. I got a text the next day to say he had told this guy to stop texting me (I found a few weeks later that this actually meant "Text Samantha again and I'll **** smash your face in"). Unfortunately, my boyfriend did it in work (no witnesses apart from the guy) so the guy complained, my boyfriend admitted it (foolishly) and got fired! Me and this guy couldn't talk to each other out of work and I was angry towards him (assuming it was his fault, blind sighted by love etc.) so that was that! In November the following year, my boyfriend wanted a break and was beginning to mess me about and not give me answers, I confronted him and asked him where I stood and he told me he was breaking up with me because he wanted to go traveling and I never got a passport (he knew I had no interest going abroad or anything at the moment). So we broke up properly.

I started seeing someone else, me and this other guy started speaking again and we knew we were just friends. My boyfriend then got fired, broke up with me by text and next thing you know I'm a wreck! Me and this guy start getting close again, but I believe I have some loyalty to my first ex because this guy got him fired - again thinking it was his fault for texting me instead of the ex's for threatening him.

However, this girl noticed we spoke to each other and she said "Is something going on between you two?" and we said no, but then from that day the feelings sort of all came flooding back and we wanted to be together, but I had just come out of a relationship and was a bit weary.

Later that day, we were chatting on Facebook and we were talking about seeing Deadpool, and the guy goes "I'm paying", I asked why and he said "It's gentlemanly to do on a first date." I say so it's a date and he said yeah if that's ok. I agree and he goes "It's a date then." We started officially going out on that date (20th February 2016) and it was the best decision I've ever made in my life. I've never been so happy and I believe he's the one for me!

TL;DR

Had a boyfriend, split up, this guy kissed me, got back with boyfriend, this guy drunk text me, got threatened by boyfriend. Boyfriend got fired due to complaint, split up with boyfriend eventually, found someone else, got dumped via text, started talking to the guy and next thing you know we're going out.
