For the first part of this task you need to number the 13 remaining contestants from 1 to 13.
Once numbered, all 13 contestants will be placed into a maze. All contestants are in the same maze. The maze is a square made up of a 15x15 grid. The exit to the maze is on the outside of this 15x15 grid.
Within the maze of course are maze walls. Each contestant must give directions to me in order to get themselves out of the maze. Contestants will use the directions ‘Up’, ‘Down’, ‘Left’ and ‘Right’. Posts must be in bold to be accepted. If a contestant hits a wall during their directions they will be returned to their starting position and the rest of the moves will not be applied. If this happens you will be notified that you have been returned to your starting position. If you can physically see another contestant (so you are not blocked by any walls to walk directly to them in a straight line), you will be notified.
If your moves get you through the maze without hitting any walls, your next post will move you from your new position. You may post one move at a time or a series of moves to be applied one after another.
Contestant number one is located nearest the exit, contestant number two is the next closest continuing to contestant number 13 who is the furthest from the exit.
For every contestant that makes it out the maze, you will add 10p to the group prize fund, meaning there is a total of £1.30 up for grabs in this task.
The first contestant to exit the maze will win an exemption, so there is an advantage for the lower numbered contestants.
Good luck!
