So after multiple appeals were turned down by British domestic courts, at the last minute the European Court of Human Rights steps in and blocks the government. Quite clear we cannot have unelected judges in the ECHR blocking the will of HM Government and Parliament - the Tories will now hopefully move to have us leave the ECHR. Dominic Cummings did always say the ECHR would be next in his sights, and I always thought to myself personally that after the EU the ECHR must be next.

So the flight got scrapped after late interventions, incl from the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. ZERO removals. Total farce. The writ of an elected government does not run. What are the Tories, with their big majority, going to do about it @BorisJohnson ??

Many British voters will be wondering why any European court or convention still has any power over the UK. The answer is that this government has still only half Brexit-ed. Perhaps today will remind HMG to change that. Urgently. Otherwise it’s on them.
