US President Donald Trump is among those donating $200million to build a State Ballroom at the White House - building work is expected to begin in September 2025 and will conclude quite some time before President Trump leaves office

Demolition of the East Wing (built 1942) has begun.
The planned Ballroom has been increased in size too, expected to host around 900 guests.
