Not sure if this has been suggested before but what about implementing a shoutbox into the forum? Might reduce spam if members do their pointless conversations over this instead of in the middle of a discussion.

We had a shoutbox? but it got removed. Many members and staff wanted it back thought. I loveeed the shoutbox but alot of spamming, swearing etc. (rule breaking) happened over it, I think that's also why it got removed? :s

Can you get shoutboxes now from saybox.co.uk where you can have user accounts so no one can pretend to be someone else and have word filters?

People can't pretend to be someone else on a shoutbox in VB I don't think. It's just the same as posting.
Kyle, don't you get the same in postis anyway? Ie, spamming, swearing etc. Spamming doesn't really matter in shoutboxes unless it's in mass amounts, nothing a ban can't fix. Same with swearing.

What I believe happened is during one of the forum upgrades the shoutbox dissapeared or atleast the hack stopped functioning probably because it wasn't compatible with the updated version. After it went, however, they didn't bother to bring it back. But yes it would be nice to have that back!
