John Frusciante should be up higher... but that's just me. And I'm hoping Thurston Moore is in at least the top 20.

I was considering that, but I can't see him being above Joe Perry. It might be personal preferance but if you've heard Perry's solo album, you'd know what I mean.

Meh, I'm not a fan of Perry so haven't checked out his solo album. But I'm a softy for ol' Frucante and mistakenly think of him as the greatest current guitar player so my view is skewed on that bias. Anyone that purposely become a heroin junkie and survived to tell about it and can still play guitar has my vote

Haha. What about someone who dies 3 times and then goes on to play in a very successful hard rock group?

Not a bad list. A few extremely random ones lol. Angus Young...I know you love him but (I hope some people will agree with me here) he wasn't better than Hendrix. I'd put him in the top 30, not top 10. Chuck Berry, a little lower. He was amazing for his time but others did much more for their time.
Bob Marley?!//!?/1!?;!/ Not in my top 100 :]. Great musician though. If you're putting that guy in from motorhead, you're missing the likes of Randy Rhoads, Dimebag, Malmsteen etc. Just my opinion anywho.

You've gotta listen to Dream Theater and Buckethead's solo work. Then you'll see why I put them above Slash . Malakian and Li lower. Morello up. Not a fan of "the edge" really. He's nothing special, and what middle aged man calls themselves The Edge anyway? He sounds like he should be this amazing shredder from that name, but no, he plays the same style riffs in every monotonous U2 song. Pretentious ******s.

Actually, I don't really like him but I could only think of 9 people. And Hendrix is better than Ang, but I think that Angus Young is one of the best guitarists of the last 50 years- he keeps it simple, but people seem to just spit at his feet 'cause he isn't some bloody shredder. And chuck berry was one of the pioneers of rock. If there wasn't Berry, ask yourself if we'd even have bands like 'DC or even Hendrix!
