[Guide] Making Topsites

Please note: You must have a host and ftp for this to work.

1) Download the software by clicking this link: Download

2) Unzip the folder

3) Go to your CPanel and make a mysql database (instructions at bottom)

4) Make a folder in public_html and upload everything with ftp core

5) Open up http://yourdomain.com/directory/install/index.php (directry you installed it to)

6) Insert your mysql database details and follow the instructions (note: when asked for mysql database stuff leave loclhost as it is)

7) Open up http://yourdomain.com/directry/index.php?a=admin and insert the password you setup when installing

8) To view your topsites go to http://yourdomain.com/directry/

9) Add a link on your forum going to it.

How to make a mysql database:
1) Go to mysql database on your CPanel

2) Where it says Db put something like topsites and then click Add Db.

3) Go to Users and type user as somethign like topsites

4) Insert a password of your choise (this will not be your admin password)

5) Click Add user.

6) Go up a bit and select your Db and user from the drop-down lists.

7) Set privelages to ALL

8) Clcik Add User to Db and then your done.
