Looks like the start of a sinking ship to me. It's upsetting to see a game that played such a big part in my childhood has gone - so many good memories from Habbo. I stopped playing properly around 2009/2010 as the community went down the pan. You can go on now and can't talk to anyone in any rooms... there is nothing interesting going on anymore.
I guess that's the realisation of the 2/3 job cuts they spoke about. Firing/getting rid of some of the staff members that matter. Call me dumb but surely if a Community Manager is coming back why on Earth did they fire Kitano? Found someone cheaper?
Doesn't prove anything. They could of left out of protest because of 2/3s of the workforce being let off, and rightly so seeing as the problem is with Idiot LaStupid at the head of the company. When the metaphorical poop hit the fan it was Paul that should of faced the axe, not the hard working employees and the very customers he offended - some of which were strong characters in the business and the community.
Habbo should just close - it's an embarrassment and soon people will be glad to see it gone. Real Habbo died years ago. This piece of steaming dog faeces isn't Habbo - it's something Paul forced out and made a total mess with.

As was pointed out in another thread, there is no way that Habbo is closing. It is Sulake's #1 product and they're still making a profit off it. Therefore they will keep doing their thing and we will disagree with them but keep playing anyway as there aren't too many online alternatives that are as sophisticated as Habbo is. Besides we have friends that still play habbo and we're a community of our own basically and as long as our friends are still playing, so will we. Just a few thoughts. Obviously Paul needs to have a reality check and see that Habbo should not be just about the money as it should be a community first and a business second, but in the real world that is not the case and it never will be. As far as people being fired goes, the muting scandal cost them a ton, they lost members and there were other financial drawbacks, now looking at the economical side of things, when a business is losing money they have to reduce the staff. Don't get me wrong I think that it's absolutely wrong for them to fire such well known and dedicated members of the Habbo society and they should really take a closer look at their staff list, but with the firings there are also new staff hired and new who knows, maybe they will try and balance out the crap that Habbo has become.
PS. Do not quote me on any of the stuff i've said. It is purely my opinion and the way i understand these things.

That's a shame he's gone, but I bet it wasn't a firing (sounds like they've done something wrong!), more of a reduction in the workforce to save money.
Such a shame, Habbo won't last much longer the way it's going!
