Got this when installing:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/******/public_html/housekeeping/classes/database.php on line 8

This means you do not have PHP5 on your server. If you have a good host, they will have PHP5 installed and parse .php5.


Create an .htaccess file in your /public_html/ directory with the following contents:

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php
