How do i create a .htaccess file? i though i just put the text in a text document

Put the contents of your .htaccess file in a blank notepad, file, save as, type as all files and file name .htaccess

Im making a few adaptations, primarily consisting of a private messaging system and ability for DJs to change their passwords, as well as a radio info page and brute force protection maybe.
Also a timetable lol.

So i may release this unofficially as an addon if Caleb permits me to do so (i know its not against the licence to release adaptations but in case thats the features he was thinking of for the paid version)
