Yes, the VIP Calendar is there for all VIP's to use but you cannot use it to announce an event every single day.
Say if you opened a site, fine announce it on the day it is released but posting an event on the calendar to say its open every day from then on is not allowed.
It is basically advertising and abusing the Calendar.
Remember: Post events on the day they happen, and dont abuse your features.
