I don't fancy her, she's like, one of my best mates, and I don't know whether I like her as a friend, or more. I'm scared if I don't go out with her, I could lose her forever, even as a friend.

Well, if you think she is good looking you should go out with her, as you already know she has a good personality if she is one of your best friends.

If not explain to her that you like her more as a friend and she should not be offended.

Jordan just tell her right now you're not sure about your feelings. Go out with each other for a couple of dates, you don't have to do anything major, maybe take her out to the cinema on your own, get to know her more then just see how you feel. If you feel like you want to kiss her all the time become boyfriend and girlfriend if you feel like having a laugh with her stay friends.
