I doubt we would've won it, we would've went through at least without him if we didn't have an idiot for a referee.

England is not a one man team. Does anyone remember Ashley Cole's outstanding performance against Portugal? Brilliant player.

I don't think England can orbit around one player, If we lost, Damn were going to loose. You've got to have more pride than that. Ofcourse Rooney is world class, missing him would be a doubt but a team spirit helps alot to when players get down.
Ashley Cole is amazing, I hope his recovery makes him just as good a player as he was before his injury.
I think England have a great squad, sometimes I feel as if they don't want to play though, thats why we loose silly matches like Northern Ireland

Lumpard isn't even that good, he shines against small teams, but fails against the bigger teams; look at the stats.

That was hugely embarrassing. What I hated when the European Cup came everyone was linking Rooney with Pele. Pele was a proffesional and world class player at a younger age of Rooney's. Rooney is too unproffesional and unexpirienced. I don't like Rio Ferdinand in the team either, I think Sol Campbell is a much better player.
