Many people, when faced with certain problems, turn to taking their own life. As you probably have heard people saying not do commit suicide and stuff. But why exactly?
It may be..
- Depression
- Family Member / Close Friend Passed Away
- Parents Split Up
- Bullying at school or neighborhood
- Problems at school
But whatever your problems may be, suicide is not the answer to your problems.
You may think it will work, for example, you will not be around to face your problem(s) anymore. It may sound alright, but it definetly is not. Think of all the things you will be unable to do. You will not be able to grow up, get a job, enjoy life, get married and possibly have children. Not only will it affect you but it will affect your friends and relatives also. Think what it is like, have you ever had a friend or a relative that has passed away, for any reason? It's terrible, isn't it. You are sad, and you witness the sadness of others also. That is what people will be going through when you are gone.
You may think your parents don't love you, like if they shout at you or something. But if you revert to suicide, they will be upset. Not only will they feel deeply upset but they may also be filled with guilt.
Whatever your problems are, you are not alone. There is someone to talk to, although you may not think it, it will help you a lot if you talk to someone. (contact numbers are displayed below). They will help you. Perhaps if you are being bullied at school, you should definetly talk to an adult you know and trust well (parent, head of year, school nurse). If you feel the need, have a trip down to your local health centre. They will have a nurse that will speak to you in full confidentiality.
Think about the issues raised there, if you are feeling suicidal or know somebody who is. Remember, You only have one life. Make the most of it, and ensure you are happy.
