The whole scenario of slitting your wrists, I don't want to know about it and certainly don't want to waste time reading it, I've heard it all before

Yeha exactly... The only people who do it are kids who think they'll get a nice slice of the emo bandwagon pie and have walls plastered with MCR posters.

    ..
Well, it's nice you have an idea what you're talking about now, yet you're still the stereotypical labeler. :/
Are you always this ignorant, or are you making a special effort today?

The actual goal for my post was to be a warning. That is why I cleverly titled it 'Warning..'. The warning was aimed at individuals who believe the answer to their problems lies within self mutilation. Critisizing these individuals isn't really helping the cause.

I know you have an opinions on this subject, but it really isn't helping that you post biases about people when you really don't have a clue of the audience you are critisizing. People who do this don't exactly have to be 'emo'. They can be anyone of whatever background. They don't have to listen to MCR all day or have a clue what 'emo' is labeling. To these individuals, self mutilation is an escape from reality. An escape far too dangerous for anyone.

Very well wrote. My mum works in a womens phychiatric community house, if I remember I'll show her this when she's home.

Some people are full of ignorance, ignore them. I know a girl who goes to church, dresses in normal girls clothes and yet she was cutting her wrists recently. She kept a blade in her purse. I'm not sure if she still does it, I know she got help from a youth worker but I dont like to push her for information.

Okay. But there's a guy who does this in my year and he just does it (and I quote) because "it makes me look emo".

    Escape from reality? Pfft.

Those are proven facts, don't let these emos tell you off, they like the pain and don't want to stop.
